In statistics, the Breusch–Pagan test, developed in 1979 by Trevor Breusch and Adrian Pagan, is used to test for heteroskedasticity in a linear regression model. It was independently suggested with some extension by R. Dennis Cook and Sanford Weisberg in 1983 (Cook–Weisberg test). Derived from the Lagrange multiplier test principle, it tests whether the variance of the errors from a regression is dependent on the values of the independent variables. In that case, heteroskedast… WebMar 26, 2016 · The Breusch-Pagan (BP) test is one of the most common tests for heteroskedasticity. The test on a pseries is the same as a test on a pooled regression model of that variable on a constant, i.e., pcdtest (some_pseries) is equivalent to pcdtest (plm (some_var ~ 1, data = some_pdata.frame, model = "pooling") and also equivalent to pcdtest (some_var ~ 1, data = some ... The p-value is the result of the chi-squared test and (normally) the null hypothesis is rejected for p-value < 0.05. In this case, the null hypothesis is of homoskedasticity and it would be rejected. WebMar 26, 2016 · The Breusch-Pagan (BP) test is one of the most common tests for heteroskedasticity. It begins by allowing the heteroskedasticity process to be a function of one or more of your independent variables, and it’s usually applied by assuming that heteroskedasticity may be a linear function of all the independent variables in the model. cost of mri in north carolinaWebJan 1, 1980 · T.
