WebDjango is much older, so many more codebases use it and more people are familiar with it. FastAPI newer, but has more modern features (it doesn’t require a uwsgi server, it is OpenAPI compatible, etc.). If you’re looking to learn a tool for new projects/takehome tests (and don’t want to learn a new language, like Go), I’d recommend FastAPI.
